Honestly I also learn to draw from my childhood onwards with this method of copying onther artist work, Mostly every beginner should be doing the same. Don't get deterred by thinking it's at best unoriginal and worst "Stealing". In reality, this was research. As long as these copies are only for practice. Select the level of hard and take any picture and do practice and having patience is very important.
The hardest thing is dedication when you are learning a new Skill you will face a lot of Obstacles. But don't lose your focus and face the failure until you get a perfect diagram. Try again and again you notice the change in your Drawing Skills.
